What The Unity Network Does Not Deliver
Being clear about what the network is not for protects the standard, protects members, and saves everyone time. These exclusions are deliberate.
House removals
Emptying whole properties is a different trade — different equipment, different pricing, different expectations.
Office removals
Commercial relocations sit outside the network's planned bulky multi-drop model.
Waste disposal
The network carries goods to be delivered — not waste to be disposed of.
Tip runs
Trips to the tip are not delivery work and do not fit the standard.
Clearances
Property clearances combine waste and removals — neither fits the model.
Same-day courier work
Reactive urgent dashes are a different operating model from planned multi-drop routes.
Parcel rounds
High-volume small-parcel work is built around speed, not careful bulky handling.
Engines & gearboxes
Heavy automotive parts leak, drip and damage load areas.
Oily automotive parts
Anything oily or greasy is incompatible with clean furniture freight.
Dirty freight
Soiled or unclean loads cannot share a load area with household goods.
Contaminated freight
Contaminated items pose risks to vehicles, goods and operators.
Why These Exclusions Exist
They protect the load area
A van carrying sofas and mattresses must stay clean. Oily, dirty or contaminated freight ruins that — and with it, the next customer's delivery.
They protect the standard
The Unity Standard is built around careful, professional handling of household goods. Work types built around speed or disposal pull in the opposite direction.
They protect members' time
Operators join for planned bulky work. Mixing in incompatible work types wastes everyone's time and blurs what the network stands for.
They keep the specialism honest
A network that does everything stands for nothing. These exclusions are what make the specialism real.
